Two more religious radicals detained in Sumgayit
Two more people were detained in connection with an armed incident in Sumgayit on December 11. Thus, the number of detainees has reached 16.
As stated in the official report of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the residents of Sumgayit Elchin Akperov and previously convicted Vugar Abdullayev were arrested on December 27.
A revolver, 47 cartridges of different calibers, 134 books and 81 drives with religious content were discovered at Abdullayev.
According to unofficial data, Akperov is the leader of one of the radical religious groups that operated in Sumgayit.
