Agdam came under the control of the Armed Forces of Azerbaijan
Baku/19.11.20/Turan: The largest once city of low-lying Karabakh, Agdam, came under the control of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces on the afternoon of November 19.
This became known from messages and videos in social networks, filmed by the military. The video shows how the convoy of armored vehicles moved in the direction of Aghdam.
Then the servicemen removed the ruins of the city and its central mosque in a dilapidated state. Previously, the Armenians used it as a pigsty.
Let us remind that according to the agreement of November 9, the Armenian troops are obliged to liberate the Aghdam region by November 20.
Aghdam was captured by the Armenians in July 1993 and destroyed to the ground, like all other settlements in the occupied territories.
This city with a population of 150 thousand people was one of the richest and most prosperous in Azerbaijan at all times. It occupies a strategic position in the region and has access to three regions of Nagorno-Karabakh at once - Khojavend (Martuni), Askeran and Agdere (Mardakert).
Agdam is located just 25 km from the administrative center of Nagorno-Karabakh - Khankend (Stepanakert).
Today, Azerbaijanis have returned to the area after 27 years of occupation. However, over the past 5 days, the Armenians have burned many objects in the area.
First of all, in the villages that the Armenians settled after the occupation.-02D-
