Ilham Aliyev determined the "National priorities" for the period up to 2030
Baku/02.02.21/Turan: On February 2, President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev approved the document: "Azerbaijan 2030: National priorities for socio-economic development." The national priorities include five main directions: ensuring sustainable growth and competitiveness of the economy; creating a dynamic, inclusive society based on social justice; competitive human capital and modern innovation; the great return to the liberated territories; clean environment and green growth country.
In the first direction, the tasks are set to achieve economic growth that ensures an annual increase in living standards through the creation of highly profitable jobs.
Special attention will be paid to the development of the non-oil sector, to increase the share of the private sector in its financing. It is necessary to accelerate the development of capital and insurance markets, which are the main source of long-term investment resources in the economy.
The tasks are also set to attract foreign direct investment in the country's economy, including strategic investors in infrastructure.
It is also planned to increase the economic efficiency of public investments and the activities of state-owned companies, as well as to increase the level of transparency in this area. The goal is to minimize the shadow economy.
The Cabinet of Ministers has been instructed to prepare and submit to the President the “Strategy of Socio-Economic Development for 2021-2025” within 9 months in accordance with National Priorities. - 06D-
