Russian-Ukrainian negotiations. Belovezhskaya Pushcha. March 3, 2022

Kiev/04.03.22/UNIAN: Oleksiy Arestovych, adviser to the head of the Ukrainian Presidential office, has revealed details of the negotiations between Ukraine and Russia.

According to Arestovich, the Russians are gradually reducing their demands.

"They have stopped talking about denazification and so on. And they started talking about the non-aligned status, not even focusing on the subject. It was about preventing the deployment of certain offensive weapons in Ukraine," he said.

At the same time, he noted that this reduction of requirements shows that the Russian Federation understands that it will not be able to achieve its political goals by military means.

The adviser to the UPO head recalled the only agreement that was reached during yesterday's negotiations. "There was a theoretical agreement, an agreement of the parties, to provide humanitarian aid or humanitarian corridors to the surrounded towns in Ukraine, to the towns suffering from the Russian invasion," he said, adding that this agreement would be supported by the international community.-0-
