Earnings of Main Operator of Fixed Telephone Service Decreased Two Times
In 2014, revenues of Ltd. Aztelekom, the main operator of the fixed telephone service in Azerbaijan amounted to 97.8 million manat, which is 15.9% less than in 2013, the state-owned company told Turan.
Operating profit of Aztelekom last year amounted to 2.4 million manat. This is approximately 2-fold less than in 2013.
According to the financial report (http://aztelekom.org/index.php?id=2400), investment in the purchase of fixed assets of the telephone operator in 57 cities and regions, as well as the Internet (ISP Aztelekom.net) amounted to 39.4 million manat in 2014. This is 4.4 million manat less than the year before.
In 2014, customer accounts receivable for communication services and the Internet have increased from 58.9 million to 64.1 million manat. In turn, Aztelekom has debts amounting to 119.5 million manat. Creditor debts for the year increased 35%. Of these, 9.6 million manat is taxes and so forth obligatory payments. --08B-

Discussions were held in Baku within the framework of the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties (COP29) to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change, focusing on the "Decarbonization and Climate Adaptation of the Cotton-to-Clothing Value Chain." Azerbaijan has attracted significant interest from companies in both developing and developed countries, as well as from state and private sector representatives of at least 10 nations, regarding participation as shareholders in the Climate Finance Action Fund (CFAF), which has a total budget of $1 billion.
