State Standard revealed shortcomings in the recreation center in Nabran
The State Committee on Standardization, Metrology and Patent unveiled on July 29 the results of audits of compliance with sanitary norms and rules in the two well-known recreation centers in the village of Nabran of the Khachmas district.
The press service of the State Committee told Turan that the inspections were carried out in the recreation centers Atlant and Malibu from 18 to 25 July. It was revealed that the kitchens of both institutions are unsanitary. Not observed was the mode of storage of raw materials. In the kitchen of Atlant they found a mousetrap. And in the kitchen of Malibu they found cockroaches in a bag of rice and a pot.
The State Committee on the results of checks imposed a ban on the baking of bread and salad in the manufacture of some of these recreation areas, as well as wrote administrative reports on violations of consumer rights and established a deadline for their elimination. - 08D-

Azerbaijan significantly increased its rice imports to 52,500 tons in the first nine months of 2024, marking a 15.1% rise in physical weight and a 33.3% rise in import value compared to the same period in 2023, according to government data. The average price per ton of rice climbed by 15.8% to $1,042.17, up from $899.77 last year, further underscoring Azerbaijan’s reliance on imports to meet domestic demand, with 85% of the country’s rice needs covered through foreign sources.
