Alternative EL comes on stage
Baku/30.08.13/Turan : Presentation of the "New EL Movement" took place on Friday in the International Press Center. It was created by Aflan Ibrahimov; he said that the purpose of the new public organization is to support Ilham Aliyev's candidacy in the presidential election.
The structure intends to campaign in favor of Ilham Aliyev in 125 polling stations in 85 districts of the country.
Aflan Ibrahimov used to be a supporter of the former president Ayaz Mutallibov, and was imprisoned for it for more than a year.
Ibrahimov claimed today that he was vice-president of the earlier created El Movement, but left it due to disagreement with his colleagues.
In turn, the leadership of the El Movement denies the allegation that Ibrahimov was deputy chairman of the El Movement.
A few days ago Ibrahimov said that the National Council is preparing riots in Baku before the elections. On the basis of these statements, Attorney General's office began an investigation.
On August 29, the head of the EL Movement, Eldar Namazov, was summoned for questioning , and today at 14:00 to the prosecutor called his deputy, Kechari Nagibeyli. The chairman of the Supreme Mejlis of the Movement Eldeniz Guliyev will be summoned to the prosecutor's office for questioning on August 31. -05B04-
