Baku Makes It Clear It Will Not Allow to Make Idiot of Itself
Baku / 29.08.20 / Turan: Baku's dissatisfaction with Moscow's duplicity due to the supply of weapons to Armenia during the July battles in Tovuz has been continued today.
Initially, this issue was raised by Ilham Aliyev in a telephone conversation with Vladimir Putin. However, then the Kremlin did not consider it necessary to recognize and respond normally to Baku's claims.
Instead, the Kremlin sent to Baku its Defense Minister Shoigu, who told a tale about the supply of construction materials to Armenia, but not military equipment.
It is difficult to say what the Kremlin was counting on when trying to give such a stupid explanation.
Today, Assistant to the Head of State Hikmet Hajiyev voiced Azerbaijan's position that Shoigu's explanation has been rejected.
“Military cargo is delivered from Russia to Armenia, and this seriously worries the Azerbaijani state and the public.
We are not quite satisfied with the explanations of the Russian side. Azerbaijan is waiting for clarification on the basis on which the intensive arming of Armenia continues.
We are not satisfied with the answer that construction materials are supposedly transported by air. They can be delivered in other ways," Hajiyev said at a briefing on Saturday. --0---
