Baku Mayor Office Ignores "Reserve Officers"
The Baku Mayor Office did not respond to notification from the NGO "Reserve Officers" about their intention to picket in front of the Ministry of Justice and the home of Defense Minister, Safar Abiyev on March 9. Reserve officers are going to protest against the non-fulfillment of court decisions by the Defense Minister.
According to Yashar Jafarli head of the NGO, the final decision regarding the pickets will be made on March 8. Officers are going to demand the execution of 17 court decisions that were adopted from 2003-2011, and urged the Defense Ministry to respect the rights of militarists. Thirteen of the decisions are associated with non-payment of money for unused holidays. -05B06-
