Police to Monitor Movement of Citizens through Electronic System
Baku / 02.04.20 / Turan: Soon the police will be able to monitor the movement of citizens online using a special electronic system. This was announced on Wednesday in an interview with Public TV by the deputy chief of the Public Security Directorate, Colonel of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Aziz Bagishev.
So, during the quarantine period, before leaving the house, a citizen will have to call or send SMS to a certain number and tell where and why he is going. This message will be sent to the electronic system and will be displayed on tablets available to police officers. “By stopping the person, the police will be able to check whether he is allowed to leave the house or not,” he said. A citizen will even have to inform about a visit to a pharmacy or store.
“The development of the system has already been completed and soon the public will be informed about this,” added the Colonel. -02D-
