Russian Foreign Ministry urged its citizens not to travel to more than one hundred countries
Moskva.11.04.14.Turan : Russian Foreign Ministry issued an official warning citizens not to travel to 109 countries around the world where they could be arrested and handed over to the United States.
The Russian Foreign Ministry believes that recently the threat has increased significantly due to the US-led anti-Russian sanctions.
"However, it should be borne in mind that "justice in the American style" differs with its biased attitude toward Russian citizens and the trials of those who were actually kidnapped and taken to the United States usually end in convictions with long prison terms as it happened to V.A. Bout and K.V. Yaroshenko.
Given these circumstances, we again strongly recommend Russian citizens to refrain from trips abroad, especially in countries which have concluded agreements with the United States on mutual extradition, if there are suspicions that the U.S. law enforcement authorities may nominate any claim to them," the statement says.
Note that the U.S. has such agreements with 109 countries, among which there are many countries in Europe as well as Turkey, Israel , Estonia and Cuba . - 02B -
