On Thursday, the regular meeting of the Coordination Centre of the National Council of Democratic Forces (NCDF) discussed the political situation in the country and the situation of political prisoners, according to the press-release of the NCDF.
The meeting welcomed the establishment of a committee to protect the rights of Leyla Yunus, and its work. The participants condemned arrests and repression of the last time, there was the need to strengthen the work on the release of political prisoners and prisoners of conscience protection, as well as strengthening the fight against authoritarianism in the country. The meeting decided to hold a session of the National Council.
On September 15 the members of the NCDF will visit the monument of Turkish soldiers in the Alley of Martyrs to mark the liberation of Baku from the intervention. -16D04-

Today, President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev received General Sahir Shamshad Mirza, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.
