Turkey will continue to coordinate its steps with Azerbaijan - Cavusoglu
Baku/27.09.21 / Turan: "As is known, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan made series of positive statements. In turn, statements came from Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan. Our goal is to turn our region into a zone of peace." This was stated by Turkish Foreign Minister Movlut Cavusoglu at a joint briefing with Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Ceyhun Bayramov in Ankara on Monday.
It should be added that Azerbaijan offered Armenia to sign a peace treaty, but failed to receive a positive response from Yerevan, he stated.
“As always, we'll be beside Azerbaijan and coordinate our steps with Baku. We coordinate our actions with Azerbaijan, we make decisions jointly and this will continue in the future, " Cavusoglu stressed.
In turn, Bayramov touched upon the issue of restoring the liberated territories. According to him, the maps of minefields presented by Armenia turned out "ineffective".
“Further complicating the case is that these lands are heavily plugged with anti-personnel and anti-tank mines. We are presented with maps of minefields of three regions. About 200.000 mines are buried on these lands. However, maps of these fields are ineffective, because their accuracy does not exceed 25%. All these greatly complicate the restoration and construction processes, " Bayramov said. - 16D-
