Xi Jinping Accepts Invitation to Visit Azerbaijan
Baku / 14.09.17 / Turan: The Chinese President Xi Jinping accepted the invitation of President Ilham Aliyev to pay an official visit to Azerbaijan. The terms of the visit will be coordinated through diplomatic channels.
The new Ambassador of Azerbaijan to the PRC, Akram Zeynally, handed his credentials to Xi Jinping on September 13.
As the press service of the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry reports, the Ambassador recalled the invitation by Aliyev of the PRC Chairman to pay an official visit to Baku.
He expressed the hope that the visit will be implemented in the near future.
Jinping confirmed that he accepted the invitation to visit Azerbaijan with gratitude and proposed to agree the mutually acceptable terms of the visit through diplomatic channels.
During the meeting, it was noted that there is a potential for deepening economic cooperation.
Zeynally expressed gratitude for the support of Azerbaijan's position in the Karabakh issue by the PRC, which is support of the country's territorial integrity. -06D-
