Baku/02.08.21/Turan: In Azerbaijan, over the past day, 431 cases of coronavirus infection have been detected, 139 people have recovered, and three infected have died.
The total number of infected people in Azerbaijan reached 344,951, including 333,267 recovered and 5,030 died, treatment of 6,654 active patients continues.
Over the past 24 hours, 6,238 coronavirus tests have been carried out. Also, 844 people were vaccinated per day, including 649 received the first dose, and 195 received the second.
The total number of those vaccinated is 5,041,622.
At the same time, 2,924,126 people were vaccinated with the first dose, and 2,117,496 with both.-06B-

On December 25, an Embraer 190 passenger plane operated by Azerbaijan Airlines CJSC (AZAL), on a Baku–Grozny flight, crashed near the city of Aktau in Kazakhstan. Azerbaijan’s Consul General in Aktau, Ayxan Suleymanlı, stated that the plane had 67 people onboard, including crew members, 38 of whom died. According to him, 26 of the deceased were Azerbaijani citizens.
