Alexander Lapshin Left Azerbaijan
Baku / 14.09.17 / Turan: The blogger Alexander Lapshin left Azerbaijan this morning, a source at the Baku airport told Turan. He left Baku, accompanied by his mother Bella Lapshina by the direct flight Baku-Tel Aviv at 8:35.
* Recall that Lapshin was convicted on July 20 to three years in prison on charges of illegally crossing the border. Earlier, he was also accused of appeals against the Azerbaijani state in the form of statements in support of the separatists of Nagorno-Karabakh.
However, Lapshin did not plead guilty at the trial, saying that he was not against the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan and his trip to Karabakh had a tourist character. And this charge was dropped from him.
Lapshin was detained in Minsk on December 16, 2016 at the request of Azerbaijan and extradited to Baku.
On September 11, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev pardoned him. -06B-
