Basta.info Editor about Brutal Police Beatings
Baku / 12.02.20 / Turan: “After being detained in front of the CEC building on the night of February 11, I was pushed into a car where three policemen beat me with arms and feet. My whole face was bloody,” Mustafa Hajibeyli, editor of the Basta.info website, wrote on February 12 on his Facebook page.
“After that I was taken out of the car and taken to the CEC building, ordering me to wash off the blood from my face. From there they took me to the police department, and from there to the drug dispensary. Then they returned me to the police, where they exerted pressure and threatened me for a long time. Only after that they let me go.
My whole face is swollen, my glasses are broken, my clothes are torn, but it's okay, we can’t be broken,” the editor notes.
He also writes that today he was again called to the police.-16D-

In the last two days, a "news" story appeared on TikTok about a whale spotted on Baku's seaside boulevard. The most "observant" users posted videos, commenting on the size of the animal. Later, other "witnesses" claimed it wasn't a whale, but a shark. Even later, a version emerged suggesting it was a submarine.
