Defense Ministry Reported the Suicide of another Soldier
A National Army soldier Orkhan Mirzazadeh died March 3 at 21.50 due to careless handling of weapons, Turan was told in the press service of the Defense Ministry. According to the same source, the soldier broke the safety rules for handling weapons. A criminal case was filed and is under investigation.
This is the second suicide of a soldier in the last 5 days.
Meanwhile, on Sunday, another soldier, Ibrahim Heydarov was wounded, stepping on a mine. He was placed in a hospital.
According to the Doctrine Center for Military Studies Journalism, this year's loss of the defense and security sector of Azerbaijan has reached 15 people.
Increase in the number of deaths of soldiers recently caused public outcry.
On 12 January in Baku a mass protest was held, which was the largest unauthorized demonstration in the last 8 years.
