Dozens of Perennial Trees Destroyed Near Gulustan Palace
Baku / 09.05.19 / Turan: In Baku, near the Gulustan Palace, builders cut down several dozen perennial conifer trees, a reader told Turan.
The agency"s correspondent visited the construction site next to Gulustan, making sure that the information was correct. The palace is being renovated, and the workers cover the roof of the building. On the ground next to the walls, the trunks of trees lie, and stumps protrude from the ground torn by the excavator. The excavator clogs piles into the ground freed from the trees next to Gulustan.
The road to the complex is closed, and on the gate there is an inscription about the construction work.
In connection with the holiday, it was not possible to learn about the legality of tree cutting at the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources.
The Gulustan Palace is a public building with a large multi-purpose restaurant hall located in Baku, on the mountainside, on top of which is the Alley of Martyrs. The palace opened in 1980 and was renovated in 1998. - 0-
