Intellectuals in Masalli complaining to local authorities
"The association of intellectuals of the Masalli district" issued a statement complaining about the pressure by the executive power of the district.
The pressure began after members of the association complained of the district leadership to the presidential administration and held a press conference in Baku on Dec. 6. There they talked about the arbitrariness of the district head Rafil Huseynov.
Pressure is reflected in the fact that a member of the association Vidadi Dadashov was asked to leave this social structure, and threatened with consequences.
The head of the education department of the district Astan Ibishov exerted similar pressure on another member of the associations - Teymur Teymurov.
The authors of the statement indicate that no pressure will stop their fight against lawlessness and bureaucratic arbitrariness in the area.
The statement did not say what exactly the illegal actions of the Chief Executive were. However, the representatives of the area earlier complained of harassment of entrepreneurs, widespread corruption and the seizure of property and objects of local businessmen. -05D06-

However, questions have arisen about the legitimacy of the group, as an internet search yields little evidence of its existence beyond scattered mentions.

In the last two days, a "news" story appeared on TikTok about a whale spotted on Baku's seaside boulevard. The most "observant" users posted videos, commenting on the size of the animal. Later, other "witnesses" claimed it wasn't a whale, but a shark. Even later, a version emerged suggesting it was a submarine.
