The essence of the Digital Hub program, the rise in price of building materials, and the possible negative consequence of the sex ratio in the population are the topics of today's media.
The Azerbaijan newspaper writes about the Digital Hub program, quoting Fuad Allahverdiyev, the head of AzerTelecom, at the EU-Azerbaijan Business Forum.
He spoke about the sustainable development of this program in the ICT sector and about the processes of digital transformation in modern conditions.
To turn Azerbaijan into a digital center, the Digital Hub program is being implemented. The program is implementing a Trans-Caspian project to lay an optical cable along the Caspian seabed under the Caspian Sea.
The Digital Hub program will contribute to other areas of the non-oil sector, as well as attract global ICT companies to Azerbaijan and create a foundation for the development of innovations.
The newspaper Yeni Musavat writes about the rise in price of building materials.
After the closure of several quarries last year, stone cubes went up by 1-2 gyapik. The price of cement is not reduced, because the raw materials are imported.
In Azerbaijan, there are 585 stone quarries in the Khazar and Garadagh districts of the capital and in the Gazakh, Absheron, Imishli, Guba and Sheki regions of the country.
The website Modern.az writes that, according to statistics, there are 182 million abortion facts in developed countries per year, and in developing countries the index is 28 million.
The reason is socio-economic problems. In the world, 106 boys per 100 girls are considered the normal sex ratio. In Azerbaijan, since 2010, there are 117 boys per 100 girls. This is especially characteristic of the Gazakh-Ganja and Aran zones.
Measures are needed to stimulate the birth of girls and to increase the amount of benefits for them. It will take 5-10 years to correct the situation.
