Northern Entrance to Baku Indefinitely Closed
As of today, traffic will be closed in the area of January 20 square to the Transport Ministry building on Tbilisi Avenue to enable the replacement of asphalt, according to the Traffic Police Department of Baku. Police advised drivers arriving in Baku from the north to use alternative routes. They recommended entering through Sumgait on Novkhani-Binagadi road, proceeding through the bus station with access to the ring road of Badamdar village, and entering the center of the city through Hojagasan village and exit Salyan road.
Police also reported the closure of a tunnel from the January 20 square and advised that the repairs will be completed “as soon as possible.” -16D-

In July 2024, the State Border Service detained 22 people for violating the state border.
