Rally on the anniversary of the terrorist attack in the Oil Academy
On April 30 a number of youth organizations will hold an action to commemorate the victims of mass murder in the Oil Academy (ASOA) committed in 30 April, 2009.
The native of Georgia, Farda Gadirov, entered the building of the Oil Academy, opened fire with a pistol, killing 12 and wounding 13 people. Gadirov shot himself. Four fellows of Gadirov were convicted in the case - three to life imprisonment, and one - to 11 years in prison.
However, the investigation has not clarified the motives of the crime. On the one hand, they argued that Gadirov was mentally ill, on the other hand - that he was controlled by the citizen of Georgia, an ethnic Armenian Mardun Gumashyan.
Youth activists of the parties will take part in the action: the Popular Front, the Civil Solidarity, NIDA Movement, “Free Youth”, etc.
It is planned to begin the action near the monument to Jafar Jabbarli, and to march to the building of the Oil Academy, where the tragedy happened, and to honor the memory of the killed by a minute of silence. The action is a protest against terror.
As a rule, the authorities do not allow to hold such events to the victims of this tragedy. -16D06-
