Soldier"s father believes his son was killed and demands punishment of the perpetrators
Father of a soldier Orkhan Alyev, who died on 11 December 2013 in one of the military units Naftalan city last year when he was on duty, said his son was murdered. He accused the investigation of hiding this crime.
"My son was murdered. He was beaten to death. I reject the findings of the investigation and forensics. Examination claims that my son died from hypertrophy cardiomyopathy. May Allah bestow such a diagnosis to those who say it and to their children," said on January 30 at a press conference at IRFS Shirazi Alyev, Orkhan’s father. O.Alyev was drafted with Surakhani district of Baku.
According to the medical examination , the soldiers did not wake up and died of hypertrophy cardiomyopathy. But the family does not believe a medical examination.
According to S.Alieva , two days before the departure his son underwent a medical examination at the Central Hospital of Petroleum Workers. Father showed medical certificates attesting that his son was completely healthy. "Orkhan ranked the first place in the regiment on running, and was awarded the by a Commander. My son was physically healthy, he won competitions and has athletic body," said S.Alyev.
He showed the letters received from the military prosecutor's office and printing of phones from mobile operators Bakcell. Thus, in a letter of the Military Prosecutor's Office to the family of the deceased alleged that the soldiers died on December 11 at 00:10 .
However, according to prints made from Bakcell on December 11 at 00:25 Orkhan spoke with his brother on the phone.
"It all happened in front of 32 people living in the barracks. When my son was talking on the phone with his brother there began a dispute, after which he was killed. All of them, a murderer and witnesses were there. However, nobody was arrested for the murder," said Sh.Alyev.
He noted that , without notifying the family, without examining the crime scene by the prosecutors , his son's body was taken away for examination to Tartar region. "There they put ice on the bruises to conceal wounds. His undershirt which was very important for investigation was withdrawn. Internal organs were also seized for the purpose of sale. Under the law, parents were to be present during a medical examination, but they informed us about our son’s death very late," said Sh.Alyev.
He appealed to the President of Azerbaijan for assistance to find guilty of his son’s murder, and punish those who falsified the investigation.
"We ask you to help in identifying and arrest the murderer of my son, punish those who withdrew his internal organs for sale, who falsified the investigation, who gave a false expert opinion, exhumation and re-examination. We are citizens of Azerbaijan and love our homeland," reads the appeal of Alyev to the president. -03C06-

In 2017, the Sumgayit City Court ruled to evict the Aliyev family—refugees from Gubadli (Akper, Sarvinaz, Ramil, and two other family members)—from an illegally occupied apartment in the 12th microdistrict, Building 7A, Apartment 35. The court ordered the property be returned to its rightful owner, Samaya Aliyeva. However, the Ministry of Justice intervened, citing a presidential decree from July 1, 2004, which approved a state program for improving the living and working conditions of refugees. Under this directive, refugees without alternative housing cannot be evicted until they are provided with a replacement residence by the Executive Authority.
