State Security Service reports on the detention of eight LIH members
State Security Service of Azerbaijan announced the arrest of eight Azerbaijani citizens, who were trained in the ranks of LIH and other radical terrorist organizations. All of them were arrested by court’s decision, according to the SSC report. According to the same source, they are suspected of creating illegal armed groups, providing them with ammunition, military training abroad and participation in hostilities. In particular, these people were trained and fought in Syria and Iraq in 2012-2015, as part of LIH and other terrorist organizations.
The State Security Service of Azerbaijan urges citizens not to take part in illegal militia, and is warning about responsibility. -16D04-

According to the charge (Article 308 of the Criminal Code), if the accused can prove the disclosure was unintentional, they may face 3 to 7 years in prison.
