The court rejected the lawyer`s complaint of Khadija Ismayilova
On Wednesday the Khatai District Court dismissed the complaint of the lawyer of Yalcin Imanov against the jail N 4. The complaint was considered under the chairmanship of the judge Ibrahim Ibrahimli. The essence of the complaint is that the lawyer of the journalist is subjected to illegal searches at the entrance and exit to the prison. At the same time, the documents relating to the case of Ismayilova are censored. The lawyer asked to recognize these actions as a violation of the right to protection and demanded financial compensation for moral damages. The jail N4 was represented in the court by the deputy head Hikmet Kazimov and the head of the Operations Department Vagif Eyubov. After hearing the parties, the court refused to accept the case for production. Imanov said the decision was illegal, as well as the rejection by the court of his applications on the invitation to the court Ismayilova, and the lawyers Fakhraddin Mehdiyev and Fariz Namazly, as well as employees of the colony. At the hearing Eyubov said that lawyers are checked on the basis of received operative information. According to him, there is a decision on carrying out of operatively-search actions for checking lawyers and Ismayilova herself. However Eyubov refused to submit to the court the document, calling it a "secret." The strangest thing in this case is that the judge considered the complaint on the merits, still refused to take the case to the production, said the lawyer.—06D—
