Meat has also risen in price: the price of lamb jumped by 1-2 manats, amounting to 14 manats per 1 kg. Beef costs 11-13 manats, and beef without bones costs 15-16 manats. Broiler chickens are traded at 4.50-5 manats per 1 kg. "Rural" chickens have grown to 9 manats.
There is an increase in prices for vegetables and fruits. Cherrie cost 4-5 manats, peaches cost AZN 2, apricots cost AZN 2-4, tomatoes cost AZN 0.7-2.7, cucumbers cost AZN 0.6-1.7, potatoes cost AZN 0.5-1.1, and onions cost AZN 0.4-0.7.

President of the European Parliament Roberta Metsola has invited Azerbaijani economist and political prisoner Professor Gubad Ibadoglu to Strasbourg to attend the 2024 Sakharov Prize award ceremony. The invitation, delivered by Member of the European Parliament Michael Bloss at the COP29 climate conference, comes as Ibadoglu remains under house arrest and prohibited from leaving Azerbaijan.
