Accounts Chamber Checks Budgetary Costs on Compliance with Stated Objectives
At a meeting of the Chamber of Accounts of Azerbaijan dated February 27, they decided to validate the expenditure budget for the executive power of the Khatai district of the capital.
According to the information on the website of the Chamber, the purpose of testing is analysis of the use of funds allocated to the Executive Power of the Khatai district from the state budget, within the framework of the state and capital expenditures from the reserve fund.
In addition, the Chamber will audit the executive power of Khizi region and the Center for Social Welfare in the Garadagh district. The Chamber also checks the office of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism in the Nakhchivan city for the use of funds.
The Accounting Chamber of Azerbaijan is accountable to the country's parliament and has been effective since December 7, 2001 as the authority controlling the flow of budgetary funds.
Senior officials (members of the Bar, which consists of the chairman, his deputy and seven auditors) are elected every 7 years.
This structure is usually limited to generalities about the board meeting, without giving specific figures or data. According to Article 6.0.3 of the Law "On receipt of information" ("Basic principles of information"), disclosure of budget revenues and expenditures is the responsibility of government agencies, including the Chamber of Accounts. --17D-
