Azerbaijan Buys One Ton of Gold in Turkey
Baku / 21.08.18 / Turan: In the second quarter of this year, Azerbaijan bought 995.45 kilograms of gold in Turkey. Those who purchased about one ton of gold in semi-processed forms (rods, wires and profiles, plates, sheets and strips with a thickness of more than 0.15 mm) for a total of $ 40.6 million are not known.
According to the State Customs Committee, this year Azerbaijan exported 1,438.04 kg of gold to Switzerland in unprocessed forms, not used for coinage. The volume of exports is 60 million 713 thousand US dollars. In the first half of 2017, 1,247.48 kg of gold ($ 50.9 million) not used for coinage and 355.35 kg of gold ($ 13.9 million) used for coinage was exported to this country.
This year Azerbaijan's revenues from gold exports decreased by 6.5% compared to the first half of 2017. Gold producers and exporters in Azerbaijan are Anglo-Asian Mining Company (Britain) and state-owned AzerGold CJSC.
In total in 2017, Azerbaijan's revenues from gold exports (3,360.59 kg) were $ 139.3 million. ------08B--
