Paying Taxes Recommends Tax Reforms in Azerbaijan
In Baku, a press conference was held on the presentation of the report Paying Taxes 2016, prepared by the World Bank together with the international auditing company PwC.
According to the company's partner in Azerbaijan, Movlana Pashayev, the country needs a number of tax reforms to further improve its position in the report Paying Taxes, in particular as regards tax audits.
According to the report, the country ranked second in Central Asia and Eastern Europe in the smallest number (7) of taxes. The leading Georgia and Ukraine have 5 types of taxes.
At the same time the tax burden in Azerbaijan (39.8%) is more than the average in these regions (35.2%), but less than the world average (40.8%). --17D-
