2,255 Railway Wagons Bought in Russia
From April to date Research and Production Corporation Uralvagonzavod has delivered to Azerbaijan 2,255 different freight cars. Procurement is based on the agreement signed by CJSC Azerbaijani Railways in March this year in Russia.
The agreement stipulates delivery to Azerbaijan of 2,900 freight cars for various purposes.
According to the press service of the Railways at the beginning of December the border was crossed by 301 boxcars, 200 platforms in transportation of large-tonnage containers, 1,000 gondolas, 450 tanks, etc.
The source of funding for this contract is not disclosed.
For 10 months of this year, freight trains of JSC Railways transported 14.2 million tons of cargo, 21.2% less than in the same period in 2014. ---08D

Azerbaijani internet service providers Aztelekom and Baktelekom will introduce substantial changes to their pricing structure starting August 15, the companies announced today. Under the new tariffs, the minimum internet speed will rise to 100 Mbit/s, with the cost per Mbit/s decreasing from 0.45 AZN to 0.25 AZN. As a result, monthly charges will be set at 25 AZN for 100 Mbit/s, 30 AZN for 150 Mbit/s, and 36 AZN for 250 Mbit/s.
