Depositors of Eleven Bankrupt Banks Paid AZN 747 Million 930 Thousand
Baku / 22.09.17 / Turan: Investors of the bankrupt Bank Standard have been paid 437 million 737 thousand manat (99.2% of the total amount of insured deposits, so the remaining unpaid amount is AZN 3 million 416 thousand), the Deposit Insurance Fund reported.
In total, for 11 bankrupt banks, the Fund has paid depositors 747 million 930 thousand manat.
For other banks, the amount of payments has not changed at the moment. This includes AZN 1 million 837 thousand paid on United Credit Bank (87.5%, 262,448 manat remained unpaid), AZN 24 million 191 thousand on Bank of Azerbaijan (97%), AZN 976,441 on Gandja Bank (94%), AZN 120 million 408 thousand on Tekhnika Bank (98.2%), AZN 43 million 222 thousand on Para Bank (98.5%), AZN 72 million 196 thousand on Zamin Bank (99.3%), AZN 27 million 914 thousand on Credo Bank (99.6%), AZN 3 million 88 thousand on Deka Bank (98.8%), AZN 14 million 352 thousand on Atra Bank (98.2%), and AZN 2 million 4 thousand on Gafgaz Inkishaf Bank (95.9%). -71D-

The Central Bank of Azerbaijan has reinstated the license for an insurance agent issued to an individual, Nabiyev Sabukhi Zakirovich, the regulator's official website reported. The announcement states that the decision was made on November 19 in accordance with the Law on Insurance Activity. The reason for the reinstatement is that the insurance broker has addressed the issues that led to the suspension of the license. Currently, there are 426 individuals and 57 legal entities holding insurance agent licenses in Azerbaijan.
