Armenian Armed Forces shelled Azerbaijani positions in Kelbajar
Baku/02.09.22/Turan: Today, at about 15:00, units of the Armenian armed forces fired on the positions of the Azerbaijani Army in the direction of the Yellidzhe settlement of the Kalbajar region.
2 military vehicles transporting supplies to these positions also came under fire, the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry said in a statement.
As a result of the shelling, the frontal parts and windows of the cars were damaged. There are no casualties among Azerbaijani servicemen, the press release says further.
As a result of adequate response measures taken by the units of the Azerbaijan Army, the enemy’s fire was suppressed, the message of the Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan indicated in the conclusion.
The Armenian side did not report a shootout at the border.-06B-

On January 13, the trial in the case of public activist Nijat Ibrahim continued in the Baku Serious Crimes Court under the chairmanship of Judge Aygun Gurbanova. The International Committee of Concerned Scholars (ICS) has appealed to the President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, requesting his assistance in securing the release of the arrested researcher, Igbal Abilov.
