CEC Submitted about 45,000 Signatures in favor of Hasanli
On Sunday, the Central Election Commission was presented petitions with signatures of voters in support of the presidential candidate from the opposition National Council of Democratic Forces (NCDF) Jamil Hasanli.
The CEC was presented 893 signature sheets with signatures of 44,495 voters, a member of the electoral headquarters of Hasanli, deputy chairman of the party "Musavat" Gulaga Aslanly told Turan.
Total registration for the presidential candidate must submit 40,000 signatures.
However, this legislation requires the collection of at least 50 signatures from each of the 60 electoral districts. In favor of Hasanli they collected at least 50 signatures from each of the 120 constituencies.
According to the EC, the CEC shall inspect the documents within 7 days from the date of the submission of the signature sheets and other documents and make a substantiated decision on registration or non-registration of a candidate for the presidency. -06D -

On January 13, the trial in the case of public activist Nijat Ibrahim continued in the Baku Serious Crimes Court under the chairmanship of Judge Aygun Gurbanova. The International Committee of Concerned Scholars (ICS) has appealed to the President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, requesting his assistance in securing the release of the arrested researcher, Igbal Abilov.
