Construction of Second Stage of Shahdag Tourist Complex Begins
Baku / 30.01.18 / Turan: Within the framework of the trip to the Gusar region in the north of Azerbaijan, President Ilham Aliyev visited the tourist complex Shahdag.
First Deputy Prime Minister Yagub Eyyubov informed the head of state about the second phase project of the complex, which will be implemented during this year.
So, it is planned at an altitude of 2,350 m above sea level to build a fifth elevator platform. There will also be a new ski slope 4.2 km long.
In addition, entertainment infrastructure will be expanded on the main square of the complex: a bowling, a tennis hall, a cinema, a music center, and souvenir shops, public catering and other services.
For the summer season a lake will be created for swimming and boat trips. In winter the lake will be used as a reserve source of snow.
Also, the road Gusar-Laza will be removed from the complex.
Work is also underway to design the third stage of the Shahdag complex.
Aliyev, during his stay in the complex, took a ski trip along one of the mountain slopes. -06D--
