Iran-Azerbaijan signed an agreement (UPDATED)

Baku.09.04.14.Turan : April 9, the head of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev paid an official visit to Iran.

According to Iranian media reports , in the airport Aliyev was met by the Communications Minister Mahmoud Vaezi.

The visit comes at the invitation of the President of Iran Hassan Rouhani . During the meeting, the two Presidents will discuss issues of mutual interest , as well as regional and international issues . It is expected that the visit will result in a number of bilateral documents in the field of trade and economic cooperation. In addition, the Heads of State will make ??a statement.

We note that the bilateral contacts have recently intensified. On March 14, a meeting of the Foreign Ministers of Azerbaijan and Iran was held in the city of Van. Elmar Mammadyarov and Javad Zarif discussed the expansion of bilateral cooperation. They also exchanged views on the development of the legal status of the Caspian Sea.

A few days later in Baku Ilham Aliyev received Deputy Foreign Minister of Iran, Envoy for Caspian Affairs, Ibrahim Rahimpur. During the meeting, Aliyev said that his meeting with President Rouhani in Davos gave new impetus to the bilateral relations .

March 14 Emergencies Minister Kemaleddin Heydarov made an official visit to Iran, where he met with President Hassan Rouhani . During the visit , Heydarov held talks with the Minister of Industry and Trade of Iran, Muhamedrza Neymatzadeh, the chairman of the organization for the development of the mining industry Mehdi Kerbasian, Deputy Interior Minister Ismail Nechchar and other officials. The talks focused on the prospects for further cooperation and the development of existing relations between the two countries. -16B-
