Sheikh Allahshukur Pashazade again accused Iran
Baku/07.02.23/Turan: On February 7, the Chairman of the Caucasian Muslims Office (CMO), Sheikh-ul-Islam Allahshukur Pashazade, took part in a virtual meeting dedicated to the "International Day of Human Fraternity", organized by the UN Alliance of Civilizations. Speaking at the event, Pashazade said that the UN has made a valuable contribution to the promotion of principles and values, inter-religious dialogue and cooperation in the world.
Pashazade noted the dangers arising from the abuse of the name of religion for political purposes. He also spoke about the need to prevent sensitive religious feelings, symbols, and shrines for millions of people.
In particular, he called the burning of the Koran by radicals in Sweden and the Netherlands, as well as the terrorist attacks in Jerusalem and Peshawar, very dangerous manifestations.
Recalling the terrorist attack against the Azerbaijani embassy in Tehran on January 27, Pashazade called the incident "a direct threat to the state and people of Azerbaijan"
Speaking about the Armenian-Azerbaijani conflict, Pashazade recalled the burning of Azerbaijani territories, the destruction of mosques during the 30-year-old Armenian occupation. As for the action on the Lachin road, which has been going on for two months, this road is open for humanitarian cargo and is a protest the illegal exploitation of Azerbaijan's natural resources, he said.
