The Armenian and Russian Presidents Vladimir Putin and Serzh Sargsyan had today negotiations in Moscow. According to the Kremlin press service, it is planned to discuss the key issues of cooperation in political, trade-economic and humanitarian spheres, as well as to consider the promotion of integration processes in the Eurasian space.
On the eve of the meeting, Putin said that Russia does not intend to impose someone or some variant of Karabakh conflict settlement, and set aside other intermediaries.
Meanwhile, Armenia and Azerbaijan believe that the Karabakh settlement will be the central topic of the talks Putin and Sargsyan.
Many observers in Russia argue that Moscow demands from Armenia to adopt a phased settlement option, which Yerevan opposes. In Armenia we believe that the recent seizure of the police regiment in Yerevan by an armed group will be used as a trump card against Sargsyan to reject the phased plan. Today's meeting may determine largely in line with what will the settlement process - peace or war. -02D-
