The signing an aviation agreement with the EU will contribute to the growth of tourism - Ambassador of Germany
Baku/23.04.19/Turan: The signing an aviation agreement between the EU and Azerbaijan, providing for the principle of "open skies" and will contribute to an increase in the flow of tourists to Azerbaijan. The German ambassador to Azerbaijan Mixael Kindsqrab stated this at a press conference today.
At the request of Turan to comment on the development of tourism between the two countries, the ambassador said that Azerbaijan is an excellent country to travel. However, the development of tourism has received due attention only in the last 4 years, and it is difficult to evaluate the results for such a short period.
At the same time, he cited the example of neighboring Georgia, which at the beginning of the 2000s adopted a strategy for the development of tourism and now has made great progress. In this direction we must go step by step, but consistently, the ambassador added.
An important point, he called the simplification of visa procedures. In addition, agreements on the common aviation space with the EU will make an important impetus and contribution to the development of tourism.
"As far as I know, negotiations on this agreement have now been intensified," the ambassador added. -06C--
