The Special State Security Service was liquidated, and Beilar Eyubov is appointed the head of the Presidential Security Service
Baku / 16.03.20 / Turan: By presidential decree on March 16, the Special State Guard Service was liquidated. In its place are created: Presidential Security Service, State Service for Special Communications and Information, State Agency for the Protection of Strategic Objects.
The staff of the above structures should be submitted for approval by the head of state within 2 months.
By another decree of the head of state, Beilar Eyyubov was appointed head of the Presidential Security Service.
It should be noted that Eyyubov has been fulfilling this role for many years and was the head of this service under Heydar Aliyev. At the same time, he was subordinate to the head of the Special State Security Service Vagif Akhundov. Nothing is known about the fate of the latter. -02D-
