Turkish FM Arrives in Baku instead of Erdogan
On February 18, Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu arrived in Baku. In the morning he had a meeting with Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov, the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry’s micro blog reported, without disclosing the purpose of the visit.
Recall that today President Erdogan was supposed to arrive in Baku, but he postponed his visit at the last moment due to the terrorist attack in Ankara. Apparently, Cavusoglu will give Ilham Aliyev a message from Erdogan.
On February 19, Tbilisi will host a meeting of the Foreign Ministers of Azerbaijan, Turkey and Georgia.
Cavusoglu arrived in Baku from Tbilisi, where he held talks with the Prime Minister of Georgia. -16D-
