Activists launch a campaign: “End to torture!”
Baku/28.10.19/Turan: The Committee against Repression and Torture begins a 10-day public campaign: “End Torture!”, Committee coordinator Ogtay Gyulaliyev said.
According to him, the campaign was launched taking into account the incoming appeals of citizens and taking into account the severity of the problem.
To conduct the campaign, an organizing committee was created with the participation of prominent civil society activists - Eldaniz Guliyev, Namizad Safarov, Alovsat Sadigli, Ogtay Gyulalyev, Nigar Khazi, Rovshan Ahmedli, Irada Nariman, Zafar Ahmedov and Nasir Aliyev. The organizing committee is open for entry.
Officially, the start of the campaign and the measures outlined within it will be announced on October 29 at 14:00 at a press conference of the organizing committee.
