Anar Mammadli Has Health Problems

Serving a prison sentence in Jail No 13, the human rights defender Anar Mammadli has health problems.

The jail is in a location unfavorable from an environmental point of view - it is surrounded by polluted water bodies – sources of infection. This has caused allergies in Anar Mammadli and now he is receiving treatment, the activist’s family said.

Mammadli also said that only state newspapers are delivered to the prison library, while opposition and independent media cannot be found there.
