Consequences of Explosion of Shells in Military Unit in Khyzy
Baku / 29.08.17 / Turan: As a result of the explosion in the area of a military unit in the Khyzy region on the morning of August 28, the surrounding economic and residential buildings were damaged.
The Azerbaijan National Agency for Mine Action (ANAMA) reports that during the inspection of the nearby farm, sowing areas, the school of the Sitalchay settlement, the railway line, the communication center and six apartment buildings, 36 unexploded ordnance and 37 parts of the exploded ammunition were found.
A total of 320,000 sq. m (32 hectares) of the area has been surveyed. Measures have been taken in the Sitalchay and Gilyazi villages to inform the public. -02D-
