Erdogan wants the arrest of Azerbaijani journalist ?
A correspondent for Today Zaman newspaper, Azerbaijani journalist Mahir Zeynalov, deported last week for criticizing the government of Turkey, continues to be subjected to pressure and threats in Azerbaijan.
According to Zeynalov, every day press controlled by Erdogan publishes negative information about him, and in social networks there are public threats against him.
Zeynalov said his lawyers are appealing the decision on his expulsion, and he hopes he will be able to return to Turkey.
The journalist also denied the Turkish Deputy Prime Minister, Bulent Arinc, saying that Zeynalov stayed in Turkey illegally . According to the journalist, he had a permission to live in Turkey until March 10.
In a democratic state the Prime Minister should not be engaged in harassment of journalists and press workers deportation - it is a restriction of press freedom.
According to Zeynalov, today hundreds of journalists in Turkey are under pressure for professional activity. -16B06-
