Heybatov's panel to mark Khatai's birthday
Baku/17.07.23/Turan: The "Khatai Arts Centre" has hosted the presentation of the panel "Legend of Khatai" by People's Artist of Azerbaijan Ashraf Heybatov.
The presentation and exhibition of Heybatov's works is dedicated to the birthday of Shah Ismail Khatai, the founder of the Safavid state.
Shah Ismail Khatai-Safavi (17 July 1487 - 23 May 1524) was an outstanding military leader, poet, founder of the Azerbaijani dynasty of Safavids, who ruled over Iran, which was characterised by the peak of prosperity of this state (1501-1736). The borders of the empire stretched from Pakistan, Afghanistan to Baghdad, in the north to the Greater Caucasus Mountains.
Earlier, Ashraf Heybatov had already dedicated his works to Shah Ismail Khatai, the history of the Safavids.
The artist explains his fascination with the Safavid era with successes in the field of culture and state building.
"It was this dynasty that managed to unite the Azerbaijani lands as part of a single state. As a result of the successfully implemented reforms, domestic and foreign policy of Shah Ismail and his followers, the Azerbaijani statehood has entered a new stage of its historical development, the culture of public administration of Azerbaijan has increased. The Azerbaijani language has become the state language," he said.
Note that Ashraf Heybatov is a member of the UNESCO Federation of Artists, Chairman of the Association of Azerbaijani Cultural Figures in Europe, International "Ambassador of Peace", and an honoured member of the Artists' Union of Azerbaijan-0-
