Journalist deported for reporting of Leila Yunus
Baku/01.05.14/Turan : Reporter for the Moscow bureau of French TV ITL Elena Voloshina was deported from Baku today. She arrived in the capital of Azerbaijan from Moscow at 5:00 am to prepare a television report on the human rights activist Leila Yunus. Before reaching the border control she was stopped and brought back to the plane, without explanation. Voloshina was sent back to Moscow at 10:00 am. Turan was told by Leila Yunus, with whom the French reporter supported telephony. Note that Voloshina has French citizenship . - 02B -

As part of the struggle against illegal migration in Baku city, operative actions were carried out at different addresses. The Interior Ministry reports that employees of the Department for Combating Illegal Migration identified and detained 34 foreigners without documents giving the right to reside and stay on the territory of Azerbaijan.
