Relatives of the journalist Khadija Ismailova are not surprised with the verdict passed today. Leaving the courtroom mother of journalist, Elmira Ismayilova said that she was quiet and is proud for her daughter.
"Khadija calmly with a smile listened to the verdict. She told me: “Go, and say to all that I am strong, I will all bear. People who are fighting for a just case can suffer deprivation and punishment. Khadija conveyed greetings to the people who support her," said her mother.
"The government is afraid of Khadija, therefore, she was imprisoned, but it is impossible to shut her mouth. She will continue to speak and write, she is a fighter, and encourages all not to be afraid and come to fight," said the mother of the journalist. "What can I say to the government, sentenced Khadija because of investigation of her business? I can only say one thing: either correct, or leave."
The society will win if it is united, everyone will be involved in the fight other ten, and the movement will cover thousands, millions of people - this is the message of the journalist to the community.
The lawyer Fariz Namazly said that the defense will appeal against the verdict to Ismayilova, which lack of any legal basis and was based only on subjective assumptions of investigation. -06B-
