Man"s Pussy Riot - Now in Azerbaijan
A resident of the Barda district in protest against extortion by traffic police, completely undressed in front of the district traffic police.
The video footage of the action was distributed to youtube.com resource by InterPress XeberTV.
The footage shows a man, whose name is unknown, sitting naked on the road and saying that to this desperate act he was forced by traffic police. He further said that the police chief forced him to give 300 manat and berated him swearing.
Around the naked man there are people and police calling him to get dressed.
One of the policemen is hitting the protester in the face, but it does not help. After much persuasion, the man puts on his pants, but says he will continue his action along the streets of the city. In this the three-minute video ends. From what he saw, it is difficult to understand exactly what happened, but it clearly shows that the protester is either drunk or has mental problems.
Turan was not able to get comments from the Barda District Police Station, as well as learn the man's name, and in the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs they said that the issue needs to be investigated.
Note that this is the first such case in Azerbaijan of protest against the tyranny and extortion of police. The unknown man apparently borrowed the idea from the women's informal group Pussy Riot who arrange stripped protests around the world. -16D06-

Amid the bustling scenes of this year’s COP29 climate conference, a protest against whaling and deep-sea mining, organized by a group calling itself the FINS Initiative, drew significant attention from delegates and observers. However, questions have arisen about the legitimacy of the group, as an internet search yields little evidence of its existence beyond scattered mentions.

In the last two days, a "news" story appeared on TikTok about a whale spotted on Baku's seaside boulevard. The most "observant" users posted videos, commenting on the size of the animal. Later, other "witnesses" claimed it wasn't a whale, but a shark. Even later, a version emerged suggesting it was a submarine.
