Implementation of the program for the nationalization of personnel in the oil and gas industry, waiting for a rise in price in the capital"s parking lots, and compliance or non-compliance of goods under the Halal brand are the leading themes of today's media.
The newspaper Azerbaijan writes about the program of personnel nationalization in the oil and gas sector. Such a program was adopted in 2013. At the initial stage of international oil and gas projects, Azerbaijanis made up 10% of the workers, while 90% were foreigners. In 2018, the nationalization of the personnel was already 90%.
According to information spread by BP, the number of Azerbaijani workers is 2,557.
The website Modern.az writes about the situation in metropolitan parking lots. According to the Baku Transport Agency, in the capital there are about 10,000 surface parking lots, of which only 480 are officially registered.
The Baku Transport Agency notes that the prices for parking lots have not yet been determined, but the Agency has sent its proposals to the Cabinet of Ministers.
Prices in parking lots located in the city center and on the outskirts will not be the same. It is assumed that at night the parking will be free. By day, payment will be made if the car has stayed in the parking lot for more than two hours.
It was also noted that at present the money collected for parking by day is not received by the Agency, as this money is collected illegally.
The website Marja.az writes about the products sold under the brand Halal, most of which do not meet the standards. Under the Halal brand, goods are imported from Ukraine, which gives rise to certain doubts.
